The most demanding Event (since the 2004 Olympic Games) took place in Athens last August, organized with great success by the leading DMC / PCO 'Event Makers'. The largest-scale ever Global Conference of 'Oriflame Cosmetics' with 5.000 participants from the 60 countries where the company operates, was thrilled to experience world-famous Greek hospitality and the exceptional planning and execution of a challenging 7-day program (August 19 – 25).

Event Makers', exciting and challenging role included accommodation arrangements in 13 hotels, transportation with 120 coaches, chartering two cruise ships for daily cruises, operation of daily tours and excursions and staffing of hospitality desks at the Airport & in Hotels. The highlights of the Event were the Welcome and Gala dinners that took place in the open-air premises of the Olympic Stadium with a rich entertainment program (local and international), amazing production and audiovisuals as well as catering serving 500 tables with a 4-course menu! 170 parallel events were also organized including country meetings. These included meetings at the Olympic Stadium of Taekwondo in the coast of Athens and a fab beach party at a stunning coastal venue also.

With almost 16.000 overnights and a €7M budget, the 2008 Oriflame Global Conference is considered one of the top events ever organized in Athens, resulting in a very significant contribution in the local MICE industry and a very positive showcasing of Athens as a top MICE destination.
