Athens Classic Marathon 2010

Event Makers has designed a special program for the 2010 Athens Classic Marathon to commemorate the 2.500 anniversary of Pheidippides run in 490 BC. Every athlete dreams of running in the footsteps of Pheidippides, the ancient Greek herald that ran from Marathon to Athens in 490 BC to announce the Athenian victory over the invading Persians. The finish inside the classic marble stadium that was used for the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 will be an unforgettable experience.

This program has been planned both for the runners and their friends & families, attending the next year’s Marathon run. For the athletes, an innovating training program has been incorporated along with Coaches / Trainers specialised in the Marathon run. For the friends & family and why not the athletes as well, we are offering a leisure program with cultural tours and activities during their stay in Athens.
