Dear Maria

Please let me say what a marvellous job you did for us in Crete. I genuinely do not think that the conference could have gone any better.

You were really fantastic on the detail, the style, the atmosphere and the support.

The Elounda Beach was the most perfect venue and we definitely chose the right place. Thank you for all the trouble you went to with showing everything to us. The ideas you came up with were all really good and worked so perfectly.

Many of the delegates said that this was the best IAML meeting they had ever had and I would agree with them - and I have been to about 25 of them!

The gala dinner was out of this world (and I am sorry that there were some rude people complaining at the beginning; who were they? I will snub them in future). You put so much into everything that I really do not see how it could have been any better.

Your company has been really efficient right from the beginning when I had my first trip to Athens with Yiannis. I have to say that it was my lucky day when I suggested Crete and it turned out to be your home turf, as we say.

It has been a great pleasure worrking with you and your 'can do'

attitude has been a breath of fresh air after dealing with the French 'non, ca n'est pas possible' attitude in Strasbourg.

I always thought that the Greek meeting would be a huge success, but I never imagined that it would be such an amazing experience for us all. I wish I had been able to enjoy it more by being a bit more relaxed!

Thank you once again so much and I really hope that we can work together again. To quote Joanna, 'Maria was absoloutely brilliant!'.

I will contact Aliki to say thank you also to her and please will you also pass on my thanks to Yiannis and to Maria Brinzoulaki who were really excellent.

All the very best

William
